Chairman of Greenways Group

The Chairman of Greenways Group of companies is Mr.Shri Prakash, a graduate of the London School of Economics, with an experience in shipping for more than half a century. Besides, being a successful entrepreneur he is also a well-known philanthropist.

The Eye Research Centre, Chennai, was founded by him in 1978 and gives total eye care for the economically weaker sections of society. For his outstanding services in the field of community Ophthalmology, he has received numerous awards such as the "Hudson Silva" Gold Medal in Sri Lanka, the "Arthurlim" award in Singapore and the "Distinguished Leadership" award in Hungary. He has also been honoured by the National Society for the Prevention of Blindness in India.

He also supports medical education and technology transfer by sponsoring biennial endowment lectures in Surgery by distinguished professionals and also sponsors public health education campaigns such as Diabetes and GUT 2000.

He enjoys sharing his wealth with the deserving members of the society, particularly for Education and Health care.
